Hi,
I'm an architect doing some research on strip malls with curvalinear roofs. I remember that plazas with Miracle Marts in 1960s/70s Toronto suburbs had a Quonset-roof type look. Does anyone have photos of such stores? The location I'm thinking of was at Willowdale Plaza at Yonge and Sheppard in the North York section of Toronto. I also remember there being one on Bathurst south of Steeles.
I believe Miracle was owned by the Steinberg family of Montreal, and eventually sold to A&P and/or Dominion.
Thanks,
Derek

I see that someone has posted these were built as Grand Unions in the 1950s.

That store is still there today at Yonge and Sheppard. It's now a Metro (ex-Dominion).
