It took me a few days to track down, but I did find out the history of the Abbe Road store. It was built by A&P. I don't know when or how long their store was in business. Another superstore was right on Rt. 20 in Norwalk which appears to have been under UFCW 880 and separate from the still-open Sandusky store. Apples took this one over, and it's now closed.
