The Danville Fresh & Easy on Diablo Road is a small former Alpha Beta/Lucky/Albertsons store. They took 1/2 the location, the other half is a Walgreen's. I always thought the South Pasadena store was in the location where Bristol Farms is now. The Bristol Farms sign looks like a mdified version of one of the old Market Basket signs. Jan, Alpha Beta in its history had 5 or 6 locations within Covina. The one that closed last year was the latest. The other Covina stores were on Grand and Badillo (Fresh and Easy or Blake Paper) and Grand/Arrow (razed to build the business park) and the 99Cents (ex-Ralphs) on Vincent/San Bernardino...

I also remember the ads with the singing cows: "All us cows/do our best/for Jerseymaid" Jerseymaid's plant opened in 1936 at 1040 West Slauson in South LA and it closed after the 1992 riots.
