Re: Big Lots

I know that in the Las Vegas area, we have some that started out as another store, but we also have a few that started out as new-builds... The ones on South Eastern/Windmill and Rampart/Lake Mead are both former Raley's/Albertsons since they are both across the street from a Smiths...The one on Bo...

Re: Circuit City to Liquidate remaining 500 stores.

the one at the Boulevard Mall in Las Vegas was a relocation, it originally was an Ulta, Linens N Things, and The Good Guys and before that, I believe it was a movie theater or the former site of a movie theater...it relocated from the Eastern and Tropicana location, which is now being developed into...

Re: Gottschalks

All of the Gottschalks in the Seattle area (acquired from the Lamonts bankruptcy in 2000) closed down several years ago, but I think there are still a couple of scattered locations in the outlying area (I know of one in Marysville, not sure about others.) . Some have found new tenants (the former C...

Re: Thrifty/Payless in Las Vegas

By June 1976, there was also a Thrifty somewhere along E. Charleston Blvd. in Las Vegas. I'm wondering if that was the current CVS at 1812 E. Charleston Blvd? current CVS is a former Sav-On, the Thrifty could have been part of the shopping center when it was the Charleston Plaza Mall, which was dem...

Re: Thrifty/Payless in Las Vegas

Re: Rainbow/Flamingo, Las Vegas

they must've done a lot of remodeling to the outside of the store, because it looks like a stereotypical Lucky exterior...very interesting that it used to be a Safeway, would you know what other Safeway's closed in 1985, or did they just do a relocation across the street?
