Re: NEW: Paterson NJ, 1925-1964
If you're interested. Obviously this is nowhere near the full history of supermarkets in this area, but these are ones that I know. And not sure why it's only giving me a bullet point for the first line of each list... if you can tell me how to fix it, I will! Clifton 505 Allwood Rd - was CTown in t...

Re: NEW: New Brunswick NJ, 1926-1984
Hey Groceteria - I see just a couple of edits you might want to make to your (otherwise very cool) New Brunswick list. - 20 Elizabeth St is currently a Food Universe Marketplace, a banner of Key Food which is a cooperative based in Matawan, NJ. Given that the site says all the photos were from April of 2012, that limits the Waldbaum's to somewhere on Long Island (since they had stopped using that name elsewhere, save one odd CT store for a time - that may have closed before then as well). Re: Does anybody know where these Waldbaum's location were?
Good questions! The second one is Oceanside, NY at 3620 Long Beach Rd, closed 2015, now being prepared for an Amazon Fresh. I'm working on the others, but so far nothing.

Re: list of ShopRite stores that became Pathmark in 1969
I noticed Clark, NJ on the list in the ad. Currently there is a very large high volume Shop-Rite directly across the street from this address. Where the Pathmark/Shop-Rite was at 49 Central Ave., there is now a Target which is listed as 45 Central Ave. Prior to that, it was a Bradlee's and even bef...

Re: 2 Pathmark stores right next to each other?
BillyGr is exactly right -- the brick building would've been a pharmacy/drugstore only. At one time, there were quite a few Pathmark drugstores freestanding, though I believe they were concentrated in New Jersey primarily, and they were all sold except this one several decades ago.
