Sambos-Seasons-Godfathers
I see a post above for one that had same conversion in Soutnerhn California. The oneis up up in Washington at the side of old Highway 99. I'm not sure what the bldg is now or if in existance. Was this a wide spread thing Sambos/Seasons did after the new name failed? Did God fathers buy out most of t...

Godfathers
Where we lived it went from Sambos which endured for years then to more politically correct short lived Seasons and then bldg became Godfathers which in stayed in business for a good ten years. Not sure what the building is now but sure it is not a Godfathers Pizza. Godfathers went out about the sam...

I recently was in Arizona and saw that the old Baskin Robbins was now a Thrifty Brand Ice Cream place in the mini mall. It was same brand and logo but no Rite Aid in sight.
How manyThrifty Ice Cream shops are there now?

I meant the Mollie Stones in Sausalito. Does anyone know what that was? Petrininis? Also in Petaluma Plaza Albertsons became Apple which in turn is now a Trader Joes.

Petrinis
I know that the Apple Store is still open in San Marin area of Novato. I am wondering if the Mill Valley location of Molly Stones was a Petrinis. It looked as though it may have been a Lucky. Anyone know?

Musicland memories
I remember this. A huge draw in malls in the Cd and record days before the music industry died down and everyone started to go to the computer for music. They were independent for some time before joining Sam Goody. I'm not sure where each orginated. Another rival at least in the Pacific Northwest th...

7-11 logo
ThebookI have I found on ebay one time that gives the history of 7-11 seems to allude that the streamlined logo was introduced in 76 or 77 I believe, but you might have to email 7-11 and see. The logo in the Davis picture looks like the original one that was used after it aquired the Spee Dee chain ...

Northern California locales.
I'm assuming the post for the Tiburon Safeway is accurate? I'm not sure if that was your post or not. I do know there is a grocery store across the street but maybe not a Safeway at one time. I am wondering if this Bell was the Safeway intended to be the geodesic dome(posted elsewhere on this site) ...

I think he needs to know when to fold them cause chicken was a little rubbery and a little over marinated. Ive only seen them in Asia and sure they ar...

Street sign
As far as I know it has always been that name during my last eight years here, I'm not sure why they would keep it. What confused me was the Marineworld blvd exit a few exits down that moved years ago (eighties I think). It was only until recently that it was changed to a new exit name. I can just i...

Safeway store moniker
On the old board I had started a thread about "Serving since" moniker in Safeway stores. I am noticing that with all the Lifestyle remodels they are now doing away with this, which is too bad.

There is an old A frame style store connected to a small fifties like mini mall in Tara Hills which is near the Hilltop Mall in Richmond Ca where they have turned not only the store but also the mini mall as a Christian Academy.
