A pylon sign former grocery store in Mt Rainier, MD?

I pass this store all the time when in DC. It's in Mt Rainier, MD on Rhode Island Avenue just past the DC border.
Any ideas for a brand?

Marina style former Safeway in Los Alamos, NM

Stumbled upon this former Marina style Safeway in a Los Alamos, NM shopping center. The exterior has been heavily modified, but the interior is fairly intact except for the glue-lams painted white. It's now Metzger's Hardware Store. http://www.flickr.com/photos/army_arch/3858973702/ http://www.flick...

Safeway Walnut Creek 1955

I found this photo of the Safeway in Walnut Creek, CA and a floor plan from 1955. Does anyone know where this might have been located in Walnut Creek and if it still exists?

Re: Old Safeway in downtown Tulsa

And then here's another one down in Muskogee. Guess Safeway really expanded during this timeframe in eastern Oklahoma.

Re: Old Safeway in downtown Tulsa

Hey thanks for all of the information. I didn't get a chance to get out of the car and look in the windows, but maybe someone else did at the conference.

Eisner's

Eisner's was a Central Illinois chain headquartered in Champaign. It was sold to Jewel, but I don't know the date. Jewel closed all of their Champaign stores in the 1990s due to competition from Super Walmart and Schnuck's from St Louis. Eisner Park in Champaign was named for the family. Supposedly ...
