Fresno had two, one on Fulton street downtown that's still standing, and one on Blackstone and McKinley that was demolished after "Season's" went out of business.

We had a Best here in Fresno, it became a Burlington Coat Factory. It wasn't anything significant architecturally, and looks exactly the same as it did outside as when Best was there. They had a little competetion from Ardan and Consumers, but both of those catalog showrooms folded by 1985 or 1986, ...

It looks very similar to the ex-Safeway at Tulare & First in Fresno. (It was Arthur's Toys for many years but is now some sort of ethnic supermarket)

I have seen cans of Alpha Beta beer on Ebay, and I remember Thrifty Drug had house brand Vodka... I was underage when Thrifty was still in business so I never tried any, lol! I have also seen Scotch Buy (Safeway) cigarettes on Ebay as well.

The Jewel store in The Blues Brothers was in the Dixie Square Mall in Harvey, Il.
