Re: Jewel Lake Safeway In Alaska Closed 1988

Now Safeway owns Carr's! It seems like Safeway is getting back in areas where they pulled out of....

I think this store would have lasted if Safeway didn't start selling off ost of their stores in 1988.

Re: Max Foods Montebello Closing

They might be getting ready to put up a new bigger Sav-On size. Just hoping! I would love to see Sav-On back. Not too keen on CVS anymore since they got a bit high with their prices.

Re: Intriguing SoCal chain: Superior Super Warehouse

I can't believe that store made any money. It was the nasiest, messiest, dirtiest store I have EVER been in or seen. Glad it's gone. Has Superior kept up the store? Has it been remodeled?

It is now official, CompUSA will be no more after the first of the year. I'm sure we all saw this coming years ago. Bad service, high prices, limited selection, high prices From Reuters: Earlier this year, the company closed more than half of its U.S. retail stores in a bid to streamline operations ...

Which set of elevators? The ones near Nordstroms or the ones in the middle of the mall near JC Pennys?
