Re: kroger on 559 east manhattan in toledo is closing
I remember the K Mart Foods being a Kash 'n Karry. I may even have a picture of the KnK signage. I just drove by there the other day and there is still a Save-a-Lot in the KM Food space. I would think this store hurt Kroger's business as well. I'll be sad to see that store go, as the outside is a we...

Re: Kroger in Woodhaven, Michigan
I was at that shopping center the other day and noticed that the "K" they replaced a while back does not line up with the rest of the letters. The letter seems to be a bit higher up in the box than the others. I'm surprised they replaced the one letter, instead of replacing the whole sign ...

Re: Dillon's @ 1402 E. 20th, Joplin MO
That interior is a typical Kroger remodel- a lot of Kroger stores got these around the middle of this decade. It wasn't pretty, if you ask me. My local Kroger got this probably 2003 (+/- 2 years) along with an ugly new facade (nearly all Krogers built after 1995 or so in MI are ugly). The newest rem...

Re: Kroger Superstores
I just looked at the tch546.tripod.com/smkt/kroco.html page and the Point Place store has a right side entrance like other superstores. It does however have a different sign. Further down the page the South Boulevard/Squirrel superstore (Bloomfield if I remember) has a left entrance, probably becaus...

Re: Kroger Superstores
I've seen this store before and it is a bit different outside than the usual supercenter design- the sign is in a different place and also I seem to remember it having some gold colored trim I never saw on another supercenter. As for the size, I don't think the Toledo North Summit Street supercenter...

Re: Farmer Jack: The Aftermath
Kroger put block letters on a number of the Farmer Jack conversions, for some reason only in Wayne and Oakland counties. Macomb didn't get any of these that I know of. There were already Kroger stores around here that had block letters, not with the curly K, predominantly in better areas like Troy a...

Re: Kroger in Woodhaven, Michigan
Thank you so much for the interior pics. I have been in this store a number of times too (haven't been in probably six months) and taken a lot of exterior pics but nothing good inside. The store is a weird combination of greenhouse and post-grid pieces. I'm certain from looking at it that it was bui...

Re: Kroger: Taylor, MI
I have a picture of this store somewhere in my collection of it as an F&M (large format pharmacy) while it was still open as that. I remember it being a Kroger- it closed sometime in the mid-late 90s around the time the Farmer Jack opened in the vicinity. The Kroger sign was the one with the bla...
