There was two in patchogue
One on 112 (cedar hurst paper)
The other was main street where laundry kingdom is now
Bayshore along sunrise (now a pathmark I think)
Islip on rt 111 (also a pathmark these day)

Anyone remember Foodtown back in the mid 80's? I remember the one in port jeff, i always remember them being VERY busy when I was in one.
Interesting enough I was in NJ recently (neptune) and saw a Norks Foodtown.

It's sad, I used to shop in the old patchogue walbuams when I was a kid (well before it was renovated and expanded in 02). I'm talking in the day around 75-80sh. I used to love the cookies we got from their VERY small instore bakery that store was small and did serious business back in the day. yes ...

don't know if this was covered

6 more waldbaums on long island are to close or have closed already. some are really old
West islip NY, West Babylon NY, Lake Ronkonkoma NY, Huntington Station NY and two more I have yet to find

west islip is an old A&P, i wonder what will become of that location.

the A&P merger with pathmark was not a positive mix of retail brands at all. With that said, I don't under stand why A&P competites against itself in its core operation area. They have Pathmarks across the street from nice upscale waldbuams. In some neighborhoods that clearly don't have the ...

The remaining grand union chain is owned by C&S wholesale grocers. They supply most of metro NY other than King Kullen and Shoprite

A&P is in trouble, along with a poor economy makes for a bad senerio. There's a rumor of a second but smaller wave of store closings in the new year.

i would still love to find out where the bohacks in patchogue was. I know they started off with a small store on mainstreet but that's about the most I know. I have yet to find where the village store was.
