I went antique shopping the other day and I bought a few Ann Page Spice tins marketed by The great A&P tea company. I don't Know if A&P still sells this brand or not.

Lancaster had a Thriftimart, this store was located at 43422 10th St. W. It opened in 1957 and closed in 1966. It became a furniture store and the furniture store closed in 1989. The building sat abandoned for a number of years, and has since been demolished. The sight is now a Winco Foods.

This thread reminds me of a few weeks ago, when I bought a bag of Trader Joe's frozen orange chicken, and week later I bought a bag of Ralphs frozen orange chicken. Then I compared the ingredient which were word for word the same, and come to think about it the bags also looked very similar.

Gable roofed Safeway

I was driving through the city of Ventura California the other day and noticed a gable roofed Vons, maybe late sixties early seventies. I was wondering has anyone ever seen a Vons or Safeway with a gabled roof?

It was very similar to the former Pollocks Pines Safeway.
