Thanks, all! The two Lucky bags are both different. The lady who had these was a packrat for 50 years and never left Las Vegas. I think our last Mayfair went out of business in 1990.

I still call it Smith's Food King. The sign had Smith's with "Food King" under the logo. The entire logo was outlined with a simple looking crown. I think they changed the sign here around 1988.

Unidentified Store in Oceanside, California...

I spotted this store while in Oceanside yesterday. Any idea as to what it used to be?

Fantastic 1962 Artists' Renderings of Non-Existing Markets..

I recently purchased a photo album containing snapshots of artists' renderings. I don't believe any of these places actually existed, but they're fun to look at. http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1074/840927089_0010e12f2f.jpg http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1245/840927133_344f09541d.jpg http://farm2.sta...

I've seen a picture taken in the early 1960's of the Food Fair that was next to the White Cross Drug Store at 1711 South Main Street. It was also a Mayfair, Smith's and most recently, Meyer's Market. It's been closed for several years, but the department names are still on the wall.

I found a giant newspaper ad for the grand opening of this shopping center...I think it was 1967. I'll dig it out and take a picture of it.

Wasn't there a Pic n Save next to that Kmart? There was a Furrs Cafeteria in the parking lot.

The two buildings inside the Huntridge Shopping Center were a Safeway and a W. T. Grant. Here's a picture I took recently of the old Safeway (now a Savers Thrift Store)...

Here's a shot of the whole sign for the shopping center. The top sign looks like an older Lucky sign but I'm unsuer as to how long ago it was used...anybody know what time period this sign was used? The grocery store next to the drug store was a Lucky and then became Albertson's which is still open....

SupeRx (Kroger) Found in Las Vegas, Nevada...

A few days ago, I snapped these shots of the former SupeRx Drug Store in North Las Vegas. As far as I know, there has never been a Kroger grocery store in Nevada and this was the only SupeRx in Las Vegas. A long time employee told me that the name was changed to Sun Rx sometime during the 1980's. Sh...

I didn't realize it, but this became Mayfair...there's a photo of it here in the Mayfair section. I don't know anything about this store.
