Hi all this building is at Santa Gertrudes and whittier blvd in the city of whittier. for the last few years it was a Michaels but I think at one time it was a grocery store

Some time back i ran across a old Market Basket location that still had the big basket style sign up (with another name of course) this was someplace in Orange County but I can't remember where. Its some kind of 99 cent or thrift store now. anyone else seen it?

I'm trying to find some (any) pics of the Market Basket I lived by and went to often when I was in grade school 1966 - 1972. It was in Santa fe Springs Ca at the corner of Telegraph and orr & Day road.

I've always been somewhat unclear what actually happened to Gemco I know they were on somewhat shaky financial ground their last years but the speed which they vanished left me wondering what happened.
