Hi, Pike Creek is one of the highest voulume and one of the most profitable Supermarkets in the State. It may be the most profitable stores that Super Valu owns period. Next time you pass get out of the car and go inside. It has been renovated every 2 years for the last 20.
Chestertown in a small A Frame as little as ten years ago averaged 450,000 per week. Cape may does huge business in the summer and anout 350 in the winter. Fairfax untill five years ago did about 650 per week and still does verry well , Prices Corner recently renovated does about 750 per week and has always been a busy store. Stephensville before Foodlion and Safeway opened on Kent Island was a verry busy store. It still holds its own and makes a profit. Sea Isle City and the other shore stor does huge busness in the Summer and not a whole lot the rest of the year. Thet are profitable As for the others in their time they were busy and to this day are profitable, low rents and quick turn over of product are the key

Hi, Dupont Street or Trolley Square was a very high volume store in its time. It still does well. it s location makes it a goldmine. There is a lot of money in the area and stable middle class area!s all around it. Verry little competition in the City of Wilmington. The store is landlocked, what customers this store has lost seemed to show up in Acmes such as Prices Corner or Fairfax.
