Could this be a former Acme or A&P?

The Wine & Spirits Superstore (owned by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board) in Bala Cynwyd, PA, as seen in this photo: http://s.lnimg.com/photo/full/8b92683f7 ... 62127a.jpg
It reminds me a little bit of the former Acme in this photo:

Also, the parking lot is not in front of either store, but is on the left side of the building (and in back).
I also could picture the building in question in Bala Cynwyd as an A&P from the early 1930s similar to the one in the French Quarter in New Orleans which now is a more local Rouses supermarket. Over the years, this store in Bala Cynwyd has been several different tenants: American Appliance, Block Jewelers, Dollarland, Halloween Adventure, and finally the current liquor store, but none of these seem like they would be the original tenant.
