Over at Label Scar they profiled the Belvidere Mall in Waukegan, including a 1970s picture of a Fairway Foods.

It looks like a converted National. In the 70s, they used a logo much like that also used by "The North Face" which is probably where the "Fairway F" is located. The "Foods" looks like cheap renovation of someone else's sign.
