Corner of Clark and Touhy. I'm completely clueless on this one, but I feel almost certain it was a chain supermarket from the 1940s. The door arrangement (not immediately visible in the photo) suggests A&P, but nothing else about the building really does.

You got it! I remembered seeing this photo and thought I could help and when I punched in the address in the Tribune archives up came a 1945 ad for A&P.
