So very true.

But I believe Food Fair was the exception. Started in 1900 (history records it as 1910), it rose like a rocket and relatively fell like a meteor.

For many reasons that I (and pundits) stated way back......"the interest" was not there to keep the company alive via the methods you indicated above.

Even after all these years I still find this dead company (like no other) rich in enigma and paradox (and sometimes just plain weird).

And A&P is also closing 25 stores as well
