I was just randomly looking for articles about the former chain of discount stores called Valu-Mart. While looking, I found a article about Villa Mart, which was in Oregon and was operated by Valu-Mart. In this article which I am posting here, I found out that in Eugene, OR, Mayfair operated the grocery department in Villa-Mart. So are there other instances where Mayfair operated like this?

I don't know the answer to your question but on page 5C of that same paper was a multi-page ad for Mayfair-McKays Markets. I'm guessing that McKays Markets must have been one of Mayfair's many acquisitions during that era and maybe the store you are referring to was part of that deal.
