Commenting on Off-topic Posts

Post by Groceteria »

Hi all.

Just a request: if you find a post that you believe to be off-topic, please alert one of the moderators (either me or runchadrun) rather than posting a reply commenting that the post is off-topic. If it's a problem post, you can be sure that we'll deal with the situation accordingly; that's what moderators are for.

A big problem with comments like this is (a) that they can be a little rude, and (b) that they often refer to posts that actually aren't off-topic, but are perfectly acceptable. And each additional comment about an off-topic post is, by definition, an additional off-topic post.

Please let the moderators make the call on this. Once again, feel free to alert us via private message if you see something questionable.

Thanks,
David
