Here is some pictures found on Facebook. This is of a former Safeway located in East Stockton at 2481 East Main Street. The pictures both interior and exterior are courtesy of SPD Archives., Safeway was located here from 1951-65. In 1966, Don Quick opened here. They lasted until 1976. These photos are from 1971 when it was Don Quick Market.

Great photos. I'm familiar with that building and there was still some sort of grocer in it last time I was in Stockton (maybe 2001?), though I never got inside to see if the Safeway interior was still intact.

Those are great pictures. And the store itself is one of the Safeways with exacting brick details from the early 1950s. There was a thread about another store from that era here; although the pictures in it are long-gone.
