It sure looks like the Mayfair Market at Slauson & Overhill featured on this site:
This is the one on the USC site:
if it's the same I would assume Mayfair must have bought this store from them because the cars are older in the Surv-All photo.

Good sleuthing, and good point. In that case, I know that this Thrifty opened November 1941, so the supermarket is probably not post-WWII like we thought.
