Until the 80s, Safeway seemed to use different slogans for each of its divisions. Who remembers the various Safeway slogans of the 70s/80s?
In Phoenix we had:

"Since We're Neighbors-Let's Be Friends...Safeway!"
"Go For It...at Safeway"
"Everything You Want From A Store-And A Little Bit More!"

Work an honest day... Get an honest deal at Safeway
Nobody does it better for less than Safeway
See the difference... taste (?) the difference at Safeway

One I don't remember is "Say Hello"... I have an early 80's LP of different jingles this company made, and there's a Safeway jingle on there that goes something like:

"Stop and see us anytime (Safeway)
We'd like to meet you and to Say Hello, Say Hello"

Anyone remember that one?

I also have the "Since we're neighbors let's be friends" jingle on another LP from the 70's:

"Where ever you are, you're not very far
from a neighbor... who's a friend
It's your Safeway... You can count on Safeway
There's a friendly Safeway in your neighborhood..."

Hi,

I was born in Portland, OR in 1981, and thus I would like to know if these slogans were used by Safeway of Portland, OR in the '60s, '70s and '80s:

I do know, thus far:
Shop Safeway. . . To Be Sure (1965-70)
Since We're Neighbors, Let's Be Friends (1974-79)
Everything You Want from a Store and a Little Bit More (1979-82)
Today's Safeway: Where You Get a Little Bit More (1982-83)
America's Favorite Food Store (1983-89)
Nobody Does It Better (1989-92)

If anyone can decipher just how long each of these slogans were used by the Portland, OR Safeway division, please let me know on or off board.

Thank you,
Benjamin (StoreLiker2005)

Here's one from June, 1957 (Richmond, Virginia):

"Safeway's your best place to save!"
