Apparently, at one point in time Rite Aid started a chain of grocery stores under the name of Super Rite. Rite Aid spun off Super Rite and they would go out of business.

Ok, so I actually did some in-depth research with the help of Newspapers.com, alongside some other news articles. Apparently, Pantry Pride was never even involved, Super Rite was an independent business that Rite Aid acquired due to the founder having relations with one of the relatives of the company.retail_person_247 wrote: ↑27 Feb 2022 22:40 Apparently "Super Rite" was never a chain of grocery stores rather, a food distribution company. Rite Aid didn't start the company either. From what I've heard, when Pantry Pride went out of business, Rite Aid acquired one of their food distributors, changed the name of it to "Super Rite" then spun it off years later.
