Can't find anything listed on the web about this old chain...must be dead.
It had clothing, and I believe home stuff (towels, sheets).
They had a DC off Gale Avenue, City of Industry CA. In the front of the DC, they had a small retail store.
Also, site in Blue Jay CA. It is now a real estate office.
Were these franchised? Seemed to be in obscure areas.

Re: Beno's
It seems like they were in the smaller towns with stores in the 10,000 square foot range.

Re: Beno's
There was also a Beno's in the (long demolished) La Mirada Mall in La Mirada, CA.
We used to go there for back to school clothes, along with the adjacent Woolco and KMart down the street.
Seemed like a clearance/outlet kind of place (Burlington Coat Factory is the closest approximation today)
I remember a tower sign visible from the Santa Monica Freeway near the 110 reading:
B
E
N
O
S
Always wondered if it was a downtown LA location, but never got off the freeway to see.

Re: Beno's
There used to be a Benos in La Habra, Ca also.
Re: Beno's
WOW! That triggered something long buried and forgotten.
Was the La Habra Beno's in an industrial building/industrial area?
I just remember a bright (yellow?) sign with black letters.
